After the launch by Playtonic Games of the Playtonic Friends Edition Label, the Yooka-Lylee developers make team with Okidokico for their third exit, the casual golf title at Little Golf Journey. Building on OK Golf, the mobile game at the top of the Okidokico Charts, A Little Golf Journey is developed in order to delete the competitive elements of the game, allowing the player to start a cold trip and without pressure around Beautiful courses designed to be as relaxing as possible. Each course will feature secrets to find, landscapes to appreciate and a soothing soundtrack for you to walk without stress in the greens.
Charlie Goatley, co-founder of Okidokico, explained the design philosophy behind Little Golf Journey: "With our previous title, OK Golf, we have received so many comments from the players on how they found the Relaxing experience, but we really thought we could take this side. Further and it's from there that the fundamental ideas have come for Little Golf Journey. We have deleted all these stressful elements of a traditional round of golf and replaced them with beautiful images, a soothing soundtrack and a narrative adventure layer for those who want to look for it. For us, it was a question of creating a game in which we could really escape and get off the pressure of everyday life. "
The CEO of Playtonic, Gavin Price, described the game like the "Anti-Souls-Like", a game designed to take its time, relax and enjoy a slow rhythm trip without any exterior pressure or stress. With this design philosophy, it seems like Little Gold Journey can just break with the AAA fast-paced titles whose players need.
Although an official release date has not yet been announced, Little Golf Journey should be launched on Nintendo Switch and PC this summer - just in time for a beautiful sunny walk along the greens.
